In the Indonesian province of Central Java, the second phase of construction on a controlled-access toll road was officially completed with the opening of the segment of that route between the district of Kartasura and Sragen Regency. This section was inaugurated by Joko “Jokowi” Widodo (born in 1961), who served as president of Indonesia from 2014 to 2024. The ceremony was held at the toll gate of Ngemplak, a sub-district of Boyolali Regency.
About three-and-a-half months before the formal debut of this segment, the first part of the toll road was opened. The third and final portion of this route was inaugurated in December of that year. This toll road serves as a connection between Semarang-Solo Toll Road in the west and Kertosono-Mojokerto Toll Road in the east. Measuring a total of 110 miles (177.1 kilometers) in length, Solo-Kertosono Toll Road holds the record as the longest toll road in Indonesia.
