A bus terminal in Patliputra (also officially known as Patna), the capital and largest city of eastern India’s state Bihar, made its public debut. This type of building is classified as an Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), a facility that provides bus services to destinations both within the state where it is located and to various other Indian states.
The Patliputra ISBT became the first terminal of its kind to be constructed in Bihar. This terminal is specifically located on Bihar’s State Highway 1. The Patliputra ISBT was formally inaugurated by Nitish Kumar (born in 1951), who served as chief minister of Bihar first in 2000, then between 2005 and 2014, and again from 2015 to 2026.
